+++This week, I bought a can of dog food at the local Coop store. Here are ingredients identified on that can: sodium tripolyphosphate; potassium chloride; ferrous sulphate; zinc oxide; copper proteinate; manganous sulphate; potassium iodide; sodium selenite; iron oxide.
Whew! I researched each one of these individually. At least one causes reproductive problems in animals and people; some are used in fertilizers; potassium chloride is a metal made from potassium and chlorine; potassium iodide (according to Environment Canada) may be released in the atmosphere to counteract radiation problems. One chemical cautioned that it might cause allergic reactions, such as hives or sneezing. My dog went into a sneezing fit after ingesting a bit of this stuff. Potassium iodide has been identified as one of the chemicals used in aerosol spraying, and one has to wonder if that might be to counteract the spraying of titanium, strontium and barium?
One if these items was said to be dangerous but yet one of the most widely used chemicals on the market. One was said to cause cancer. Each one had distinct side-effect potentials. Some of this stuff is used in over the counter vitamin supplements, possibly more than one of these. Some of them were said to be used in detergents and cleaning agents.
So there you have it: Harmonie brand name, any Coop store in Canada.
